Android development
Today, I started to install Android Studio under a fresh Fedora 25 setup. The installation of Android Studio under Windows 7 was no problem, and some of my tests projects did run fine.
Unfortunately, the update to Windows 10 did break something on my system, which is a Fujitsu Celsius H910 with an NVidia Quadro 3000M. My virtual smartphone instances now started to crash with OpenGL memory allocation errors.
Struggling around with that, up-and-downgrading drivers did not solve that, although it first seemed, that an NVidia driver downgrade did solve the problem.
TODO: add more infos and the links I finally found, having others also reporting an issue that seems to be the same.
Today, my first test did allow me to run a Nexus5x instance for quite some time without any issues. I’m confident to go on now.
